Admission

The Enrolment Form, filled out in all its parts and signed by the person responsible for payment, should be sent to the Florence Centre of Società Dante Alighieri together with a deposit equal to 30% of the cost of the course, plus the enrolment fee and the secretariat duties. The Enrolment Form and 30% deposit (+ enrolment fee and secretariat duties) must be received at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the course. The balance must be paid prior to the beginning of the course; otherwise the student will not be admitted to lessons.

Should we incur any charges for receipt of a student’s bank transfer, the student must reimburse the School for these costs.

(a) Payment by credit card requires the following information:

ü name and surname of the card holder

ü written authorization to charge a certain amount

IMPORTANT

It is the student’s responsibility to be informed about requirements for studying abroad from his/her country of residence. For students who have residency in a country requiring a visa to study in Italy, you are strongly encouraged to inquire at the Italian Embassy or Consulate within your country as far in advance as possible to find out what documents are necessary for such a visa to be issued, in conjunction with the laws of your country of residence.

The School will issue the following documents (upon request) to assist in obtaining a student visa (if needed): Enrolment Certificate, Receipt of Payment and Housing Statement. In this event, only after receiving the total payment of the course.

If for any reason a student is denied a visa, the School must be informed at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the course in order to refund the whole amount, less € 80 for our administrative costs. Before having back the money, the student must provide us with a copy of the letter received from the Embassy or Consulate attesting the denial of the visa and then he/she must send us back the original copy of the documents issued by the School. The School, as a consequence, will communicate to the competent authorities that the student is no longer enrolled at LA DANTE and will proceed with giving back the money.

In the case of underage students, the school requires a parents’ release.

In the case of a group of underage students studying at LA DANTE, we suggest the supervision of a tutor.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The School must be informed of any cancellation by means of a Registered Letter or telegram at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the course.

a) If the student cancels within the aforesaid terms, the School will retain only 30% of the cost of the course;

b) Should the student cancel after the course has begun, the entire sum will be forfeited.

Students who arrive late for the course or leave the course early for causes not depending on the school will not receive any refund.

The School reserves the right to cancel a group course if less than 5 students are registered and/or if students refuse the option of the mini-group (3/4 students) or the “duo” course (2 students).

CANCELLATION IN CASE OF VISA DENIAL:

If the student won’t get the Entrance Visa the school - after receiving a letter of the Embassy or the Consulate attesting the denial of the Visa - will give the total amount back (except for 80,00 euros as secretariat duties).

We inform that in order to give the amount paid back, the school must receive the letter attesting the denial of the Visa at least 15 days before the starting date of the course chosen.

Special courses: for the discount to be valid courses must be paid for before classes begin. Students must respect the sequence of the months reserved. The cost of these courses cannot be transferred to other types of courses and/or to other months.

Students are responsible for any damage caused to the school premises or to the school property.

The Società Dante Alighieri is not responsible for objects left in its premises.
